Highways
New York State Route 12 is a major north-south corridor that runs from
Utica in the north to Binghamton in the south and provides easy access
to the New York State
Thruway, Interstates 81, 88,
and 86 and State Route 20. The County of
Chenango operates a highway system of approximately 304 miles, which
networks with State and Interstate highways and makes traveling to our
state government center in Albany an easy commute.
The main route through the Town of McDonough is State
Highway 220, intersected in several places with County Routes. A network
of Town maintained dirt roads allow access to secluded homes and
businesses.
