The heartbeat of McDonough is its
volunteers. From the all-volunteer fire department and EMT
squad, to the clubs and organizations that are dedicated to enriching the lives of this
rural community, McDonough is filled with caring, giving people who spend countless hours
with little thanks to make this a special place to live. We give a heartfelt thanks to those who save us from harm, bring us the best home
cooking, and entertain us. Without you, McDonough would lack its sense of kinship and
richness.
